Research interests and skills

I am interested in the underlying effects and mechanisms of manual therapies, e.g. chiropractic care. The aim of my PhD is to explore the influence of central pain modulation as well as spinal manipulation on different afferent pathways. My key research interests are specific and unspecific psychophysical and biomechanical effects of spinal manipulation.

Ongoing research

  • Clinical Study: Influence of central pain modulation on superficial and deep spinal tissue

  • Systematic Review & Clinical Study: Characterisics of force-time profiles of spinal manipulation

  • Clinical Study: Influence of spinal manipulation on proprioceptive function
