Research interests and skills
I am a practising chiropractor and academic at Macquarie University, Australia. My PhD, titled "Reassurance for the Management of Low Back Pain in Primary Care", focused on how clinicians deliver reassurance, how patients perceive reassurance, and what difference reassurance makes to patient outcomes.
My current work builds on my PhD by developing strategies to improve the delivery of individualised reassurance in clinical practice, including how reassurance can be tailored to patients’ needs. My research also evaluates interventions delivered in primary care to manage low back pain.
