SHORT BIO:
My PhD research studied the implementation and effectiveness of a novel back care pathway, the Alberta Back Care Pathway.
The Alberta Back Care Pathway was implemented in Primary Care Networks across Alberta, Canada, and used by family physicians treating patients with low back pain. Effectiveness of the pathways was assessed through healthcare utilization outcomes of family physicians and their patients, including spinal imaging, visits to family physicians, specialist referrals and opioid prescriptions.
I am also a physical therapist, and outside of my research, I am a part of the academic teaching staff as an assistant lecturer at the University of Alberta, working part-time in clinical education in the Department of Physical Therapy.
I plan to continue as a postdoctoral researcher once he finishes his PhD in Fall 2025.
